Oak Alley

Oak Alley Plantation

Oak Alley, famous for it's beautiful Live Oaks, it's a wonderful place to visit.   It's so peaceful to just walk around and enjoy the beauty of the South and one of the most famous River Road plantations.  Oak Alley also host a arts and crafts festival twice a year, once in the fall (October) and again in the spring (March).

Well Happy St. Patty's Day!  I had a great day spending time in St. Francisville with my parents and daughter.   We enjoyed the wonderful spring day!  We toured the beautiful plantation Rosedown and  also spent some time antique shopping in the downtown historical district of St. Francisville.  What a wonderful way to spend this St. Patrick's Day!

The Coffee House/ The Cajun Village

The Coffee House is one of my favorite places to take my daughter for some of the best beignets around!  It is located in Sorrento, Louisiana (6486 Hwy 22 Sorrento,La 70778).  You also can come here to do some shopping as well.   The shops sale antiques, jewelry, Saints/LSU memorabilia, and as well as many other Louisiana items.  And if you are looking for a place to stay while in Louisiana on vacation or just a visit, the Cajun Village is also a Bed and Breakfast.  I love getting to spend that one on one mommy daughter time with my daughter while she is still little and this is a good place to do it.  We had Gumbo and Beignets to eat.  And of course I enjoyed some hot Cafe Au Lait since today was nice and cold!  Then after we walked around to the shops and of course my little princess had to buy some beautiful jewelry.  We had a great afternoon at the coffee house spending time together after I picked her up from school.    Well Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!
